Stepper Setup Guide
Set up your stepper in minutes
A simple picture guide, a one-minute video, and the full English manual. You will be stepping in no time.
Your stepper arrives almost fully assembled. There are just a few small steps to get it ready, and nothing needs tools beyond what is in the box.
1Unbox and lay out the parts
Inside the box: the stepper body (already assembled), two resistance bands with handles, the round pulley with its threaded bolt, and the black adjustment knob. Remove any packing wrap from the frame.
2Attach the pulley underneath
Lift both pedals up to their full height. Tilt the stepper back so you can reach the underside. Feed the pulley's bolt into the hole, then place the metal cord into the pulley's groove, then lower the pedals until the metal cord is tight in the pulley.
3Screw in the adjustment knob
Sit the stepper upright. Insert the black knob into the front post below the meter and screw it in clockwise until firm. This knob also sets your step depth: tighter and higher gives a shorter, easier step, and a lower setting gives a deeper step and a harder workout.
4Clip on the resistance bands
Hook the end of each band's cord onto the anchor point on the side of the base, under the pedal, one band per side. Prefer to step without bands? Skip this step, you can add them any time.
5Check and step
Place the stepper on flat, stable ground, with a mat underneath if you want to protect your floor. Press each pedal down by hand: they should move smoothly and the meter should wake up. Hold a wall or chair for balance on your first session, and start with 5 minutes.
Quick troubleshooting
The three things people ask about most.
The steps go down but will not come back up
This is the cord and pulley not seated yet. It is a setup step, not a fault.
- Lift both pedals all the way up so the cord goes loose.
- Seat the cord into the groove on the pulley wheel.
- Push the pedals down until the cord is under tension.
- Turn the front knob clockwise to set your resistance.
A faint squeak while stepping
That is your cue to add a drop of the included oil to the moving parts. It keeps the stepper running smoothly and quiet, and helps it last longer.
The screen will not turn on
Press the button on the meter to wake it. It runs on a small battery behind the screen. If it still will not wake or a battery is missing, reply to your order email and we will send one out.
